MEN'S ARTIST 2019 WINNER: ADREAN DE LA PARRA

When barber Adrean de la Parra isn’t behind the chair, he’s busy refining his skills through competition. ✂️ His hard work paid off in 2019 when he advanced to the BEA finals with a look that paid tribute to David Bowie, featuring sharp angles and cosmic color that screamed Ziggy Stardust. 💫

“I worked with a square flat layers, sides to back and back to front at the top… On wet hair (Sebastian Professional) Volupt spray for volume and texture, also Microweb fiber for control and separation... On dry hair, Shine Crafter for molding and high shine look, finishing up with Shaper fierce to lock the look on place.”

At the final round of competition in Hollywood, finalists were mentored by industry icons, like  SEB MAN Top Artist Josh Wagner. With his guidance, de la Parra transformed his model’s long locks into a signature pompadour, which won him title of the 2019 BEA Men’s Artist + $5,000 cash. 

 “Hard work and consistency pay off,” said de la Parra. “As I’ve learned: Dream big, work bigger!” 👈 And that’s on periodt.
