Emma Hancock (@masterpiecehair) first topped the North American TrendVision Awards in 2018, then ran it back AGAIN at the Beauty Envision Awards in 2019. đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź

How? This confidence wasn’t created overnight. Hancock’s battled the same imposter syndrome we all face. Her career in competition actually started on a whim and continued as a way to prove her talents to herself.

“I thought it was a fluke that I had won, all luck probably. Then I told myself: You have to do another to prove to yourself that you deserved it.”

Last year, Hancock crafted one of her signature prism looks for the competition, blending perfect pastel tones into a muted, holographic gradient. Her model, Emilee Lee, wore the look on a cool, platinum base that was straightened to accentuate the multi-dimensional tones.
