To win a contest like BEA, you can’t just talk the talk. You have to walk the walk. 👏 Amy Hwang (@aymehnails),  2019 Beauty Envision Awards Nail Artist Winner, never misses a beat when it comes to crafting the most creative claws.

While her initial entry proved her skill, her final look at the live competition proved she was a winner. With foil and paint, Amy outlined multiple sections within each nail, including pops of teal and violet mandalas. Inspo, inspo, inspo! 🤩

#PROtechnique:

“…used OPI Alpine Snow gel polish for the base… used a variety of Sharpie Markers and alcohol to create the water color effect, blended them out so it’s not too harsh… a variety for Swarovski Crystals to bling it out!”

Like much of the talent showcased on the BEA stage, Amy’s portfolio was filled with success accomplished in just five years as an esthetician and nail tech. Currently, Amy creates sculpted gel mastery and serves as Artistic Director at Kumi Nail Beauty Bar in Alberta. She’s also the Artistic Lead for BeMi Beauty Box, a Canadian Nail Art Distributor for certified professionals.

“Winning BEA 2019 meant a lot to me because it definitely put me out of my comfort zone and really pushed my creativity. It brought me to meet and work alongside inspiring people and get my name out there. Also, winning the first year for the nail category is such a big deal to finally represent NAILS in the beauty industry and showcase the endless creativity nails could have!”
